How many coats do you apply to new grout and tile in a shower? Should it bead up on the grout as soon as it looks dry?

Most penetrating sealer are "foot traffic " ready in 2 hrs and will bead "oil & water" in 24 hrs.
The sealer only seals where it can penetrate/ absorb....so if the tile is ceramic or porcelain they don't need sealer because they are impervious/ can't and won't absorb water.
