Color loss on Black Absolute Granite

she inherited this ring on her Absolute Counter Top.

I'm almost positive (with out testing) that it is of the died variety and a solvent sat on if for too long.


I've Googled away but cant find any mention of being able to let the damaged area soak in dye to darken the ring...



help?

A country club I do work for had the same thing happen. They had to have the whole thing sanded and refinished to get the color matched.

Most black granite from quarries is not absolutely black . . .

For better acceptance, the lighter particles are dyed with a black dye.

Our Dark Granite Polish has some black dye in it to restore some of the color.

We also have the pure black dye if you want to try to touch up the rings.
