I had an Italian model for years. Worked fine when it worked but was getting repaired more often than it was available to use.

I have one and it's collecting dust... Thing is basically brand new.... I tried it once to use it on removing dye bleed off a oriental rug... I felt the wall paper steamer was better...

I want that but in a 2 cord version. 1 cord for the boiler and 1 cord for the vacuum.

I agree the two cord version is far better because you can generate more steam than you ever need. Otherwise you are a bit limited.

However; even on one cord and one heater, this is a fantastic machine.

Thanks to Old Coastie for all his help and telephone support....tried out the $3000 model wasn't really able to extract the dirt from within the marble, does clean the surface nicely but I can already do that with diamonds and a brush, so I think I'll take the hit with a %15 restocking fee and return it. Think a heated spinner would be the only thing and all I could find is truck mounts nothing I could use....if you need the steamer the two cord $4000 machine would be the way to go, can run at high or med pressure for long periods....in the photos the two squares were the only thing we cleaned with the steamer....the rest just diamonds, a degreaser, scrub brush on the swing machine and me on my hands and knees all day like Mikey filling holes....last photo is a little boat we worked on this weekend aptly named "One More Toy"

Yeah, a truckmounted Spinner and a peroxide based prespray would have cleaned that quick

Yeah I just don't have the room for a truck mount...had a mytee like this one years ago..http://www.mytee.com/products/ltd3-speedster-limited-carpet-extractor/#.V0x8gldI5jU....used it a 3-4 times in a year, such a bear to get on and off truck so I just stuck to the old fashioned way, grind, prespray , scrub....was hoping steamer would work...sent it back...should have rented one first...15% restocking fee...
