I have 2 Galaxy Pro 2700 that stays at my commercial account. I was thinking of converting the 1.5 to 2in inlet - then a short hose from each to a Y to suck through 60 - 70 feet. Would that work pretty god? If so, what tool would be best to use to make a 2in opening?

My reason for doing so is the 30 feet hose Im currently using has me running the machine behind people as they are on the phones. If I can do a 60-70ft run I could stay in the main aisle and be less of a disturbance.

If you are running 2 machines, probably no need to convert anything. You just need a y connector 1 1/2 inch on the 2 Y ends going to your machines and 2 inch on the other end. You should be able to run 100 feet no problem.

You mean to tell me that machine didn't come plumbed with 2inch!!?
What a waste--
What is the size of the stand pipe?
Might have to improve the manufacturer's other mistakes.

I own a Mytee M12 and was wondering if going to 2" would help the vac. I have a commercial account I'm going to use my TM on the first cleaning but was hoping to do follow up cleanings with my portable.

The only way to find out is to replace your 1 1/2 inch barb with a 2 inch, (means drilling a larger hole) and try it with 2 inch hose. You can always go back to 1 1/2 hose with a reducer cuff. It makes more of a difference if your standpipe and internal connections are also 2 inch. If you are using 2 regular 2 stage vacs, it might not make too much of a difference but if you are using 2 high performance 3 stage vacs it will make a huge difference

The stand pipe is 2inch so you should be fine with 2 inch barb/hose..

But cleaning with a TM is more productive then a porty.. unless of course if set up and hose run with TM is beyond the capabilities of the TM.

The job I need it for is hard to access and I have to secure doors and park on the sidewalk in a hooty neighborhood. Once I get it clean using the TM for main hall and entry I can start using the porty and VLM on a set schedule.

Oh I didn't catch that you had 2 ports and want to use a Y to connect the 2..

I tryed this before with 2 Mytee 5s.
Oddly 1 porty would fill up with waste water but the other not so much-- seemed since they were different ages 1 port was sucking from the other's waste tank..
Be careful and aware of possible water overflow/flooding.

Have you seen the prop-n-lock? You would still have to park on sidewalk but you could use truck mount.

Prop-Lock looks pretty slick. Kind of priced like the Zipper/Spinner of door locks. It does look like a great idea though.

I thought of that .. add a 3/4in access port with shut off to the bottom side of each porty so that I could connect both tanks with a short hose which will allow them to fill evenly .. same with the solution tank giving me a 34 gallons of water

I did wonder if each porty would fight for vacuum .. but then wouldnt they do that as they are since some have dual stacks in the recovery tank

Or maybe I should daisy chain it .. add a 2in port on the back .. kinda like the booster set up

I would do as you originally planed with a Y.
Just Keep an eye on the setup for possible flooding-- I did same with fresh water and connected the and think I had issues also.
I may have had a problem because my M5 were old and I may have replaced the vac motors with different CFM ratings-- ie. not all vac motors may not have been the same.

I bought the Mytee Vac booster and connected that to the M5 with a 5 foot hose-- that didn't work well-- It seems the booster should be farther- say 100ft--from the porty to work best.
