Cooling down the TM

On those days when it is rather warm outside and your TM is cooking water over 240, how do you cool it down so when you drive off it ain't so hot in the van?

Having an APEX I switch it to warm and open the valve from the water box and drain all the hot water out of the water box. I feel that any fresh water that enters will be a lot cooler,

we bleed off the hot water by plugging in a QD to solution like.
we spray off tools, fill sprayers (if not last job of day)
and fill the emulsion tank

I try to keep as many doors open as possible while working.

Like Larry said, have a bleeder hose and let it run some hot water out.

Prochem has a bleeder valve and I open it until the temp hits 140 degrees.

I open a bypass valve back to the large fresh water tank while idling down 30 sec before shutting off.

I open the roof vent over the machine. We have a full wall between the TM and cab to isolate fumes and heat from the air conditioning.

have all doors open
turn heat to the setting you actually need for the job (bigger tm's have this option)
when done cleaning, like everyone else said, either fill containers, or simply open bypass and bleed off the hot water from your heat exchanger.
I open bypass and take off the hose, and let the machine run full throttle but pull in cool air and pushes the cooler air threw the exchanger, while bleeding off the heat
if super hot day I put a blower in the back and blow air against the machine, simply to keep the belts cool. then same.
my van however has a 5500 watt power inverter so I can run a blower for hours and hours before it kills the battery.

I have an air-cooled machine with a LG propane heater.... I idle the unit down and let the solution line run to cool down the heater before driving off..... 5 mins usually does the trick.... I don't cool down my heater if I have another job to get too....
