I was fortunate to win a Prochem chemical package of my choice but have little experience with their products. I would really appreciate getting some feedback on what some of their better products are. Thanks in advance!

We used Ultra Pac 711 for decades the moved to Mint Fresh and now use Axiom. We also used Dry Slurry and now use Axiom. All Fiber Rinse as a neutralizer and stabilzer. Upholstery Prespray & liquid pro for upholstery detergent. Fine Fabric prespray and fine fabric detergent for rugs.

How much did you win?

won a case months ago..but have been using Prochem "forever"

25 years in this racket, Dave ...I've tried most everything on some of the rattiest of ratnasties
From Purple Power and laundry detergent to all the "name brand" juices and lots of stuff good and bad from the backyard bathtub vendors

always come back to Prochem
Yea it's expensive compared some others, but it's consistent batch after batch and there's nothing better than the three i mentioned.
Only new juice I've been impressed with in the last twenty-five years that can compete with a heavy hitter like Power Burst is Flex.

I figured out years ago, doesn't matter what a juice costs. (even the most expensive juice is a very small part of overall cost)
What matters most is consistency and efficacy...Prochem delivers that in spades

Jim:

I'll add my loyalty to Prochem as well. I've been using them for 24 years, and have no intention of changing anytime soon. My go-to chemicals are as follows:

Headpack: Dry Slurry, Pro's Choice Extreme Clean (for the heavy soiled), All Fiber Rinse
Prespray: Ultrapac Trafficlean (fragrance free), Ultrapac Renovate, Olefin Preclean, Wide Range Industrial Cleaner
Post: All Fiber Rinse

All good recommendations.

Let me add another many people don't know about:

Renovate.

This product is made primarily for washing finished surfaces after fires. It was the first product to use the surfactant technology now used in many olefin presprays, as it can draw oily particulates out of paint and wood finishes without softening the finishes themselves.

Its also a great filtration soil remover.

I've had Renovate remove oily soot that oms and other solvents would not. At a small hotel fire I was amazed as a last ditch effort I applied Ultra Pac Renovate and it allowed the soot to be flushed right out with HWE.

It saved replacing a fabric room divider which would have been thousands of dollars.

All great recommendations so far. Can you tell me a little bit more about your business? Do you clean mostly Residential or Commercial carpet? Restaurants? Upholstery? Tile and Grout? Once I understand a little more, I will be able to offer up my suggestions. And help you get the most for your $500 :)

There is absolutely no rush. Thanks for getting back.

Thanks for taking the time to talk with me this afternoon Jim! I will post about pre-sprays first and then work my way down the recommendations people have suggested and add any feedback and maybe include some products I did not see on the list.

First, If you have never tried Ultrapac®, I would highly recommend it be one of the options you chose…especially for use in residential cleaning situations. It is by far our best-selling liquid pre-spray. Ultrapac breaks down oily soils and creates maximum soil suspension, while leaving minimal residues…. Also, one gallon can make up to 33 gallons of diluted pre-spray.

There are three options you can chose from: Ultrapac® (fresh light mint scent) Ultrapac Mint the same product with an enhanced mint scent, or Ultrapac LVC (Low volatile compound), which is the same as well but with no scent** when mixing and applying the product you will have a chemical odor, but it should dissipate in a few minutes. Nothing in the cleaning industry comes without asterisks.

Other Pre-Sprays that are popular sellers:

Power Burst - Uses enzyme technology and highly recommended for use in heavily soiled restaurants as it works wonders on meat fats, veggie oils, grease, and protein based soils. Powdered product which a lot of cleaners like/prefer! One 6.5lb container makes up to 34 gallons of RTU pre-spray

Power Strike: Another powdered product…recommend for use on rental homes, apartments, dorms, offices… Fast “striking” surfactants (you see what I did there?) means a shorter dwell time but still provides effective soil suspension. Works best on carbonaceous soils. So, red dirt, sand, dust, clay… One container makes up to 34 gallons of RTU pre-spray

Axiom Clean – Our “green” cleaning line... It is bio-degradable, phosphate-free, VOC complaint product that meets or exceeds all major green programs guidelines. It is versatile and the strong solvents cut through oils and grease and are safe enough for residential 5th generation carpets, wool area rugs, and natural upholstery. This is a liquid product which, I believe you have a preference for powdered?

We have additional pre-sprays for specialty cleaning scenarios, Fine-Fabric (which will be included in another post), Upholstery pre-spray, Olefin Pre-Clean. If you are interested in more information on those let me know.

Power Strike shouldn't be used in a retirement home setting..... The fragrance is pretty strong...

Agreed. If there is not a specific problem we are trying to address....we usually recommend Power Burst or Heavy Artillery in retirement home settings due to the likeliness of food soils and possible urine issues. Followed by extraction with Dry Slurry... or even Liquid Slurry since it has the encapsulation polymers.

When was the last time you used Power Strike? I know we added a different fragrance a year or two ago. However, I do not have a refined nose? Not sure if that is even a real thing... but my sense of smell is pretty turrrible.

I just received the Dry Slurry today.... Thanks a bunch for it!

I got some PS shipped in last year I believe.... I wanted Flex w/citrus but was talked into Power Strike... It does work well, just has a "Chemical smell" to it that we've got complaints about... Same acct I've recently used Flex w/citrus and they both seem about the same results minus the smell complaints..... Granted "old people" like @Ofer Kolton always got to complain about something....

Kinda like the Hawaiians...... If they aren't grumbling, they aren't happy......
