Make the lettering over the picture Baby safe or dry in under 3 hours!

5 of the 7 bullets are self-glorifying and do nothing in the customers mind to motivate them to choose or call you.

Take the friggen truck off and put up a picture of some upholstery or tile.

Looks good, run it. Not everybody is going to like it. You tried and it looks great. I have spent $1000.00 in home shows and ran several ads. Sometimes they works and sometimes they don't. Go for it.

You never really know for sure what will work until you try it, and God knows i'm not an expert, but i'm not sure that most clients care or understand about your equipment.

I need to lower my price

I am no marketing guru but from what I read about it

where is the call to action, exp date

did you just buy the airpath, "dry in minutes not days"

highly trained carpet tech and owner operator, which one is it you or the chimp

what is your USP

no fuel charge but a disposal charge

should the "heavily soiled areas" wording be on the top coupon, I guess it is there but why say it twice

but like I said I am no marketing guru

if I wasn't already a carpet cleaner I would probably rent the Rug Dr, I only had to have my carpets cleaned once and I had had enough

I agree, the angle they shot that kid at makes him look demented (sp.). But if you're going to keep it I would use the space to the left of the pic, may be add "Hurry, offer ends soon" or something of the sort.

I have a Airpath.. :)

This is a tester that will go to 22k homes that cost me nothing.... Chem dy is in there at 700SQ feet for 189.99 Lets think about this for a min. $180 for 700-SQ feet and add the .33 a sq over that and add some protector and Uphostery. Let see 1000 SQ of carpet would cost them $180 + 99 for the extra SQ feet and make them a killer price on Protector. $125

$404 total with out doing a sofa or chair. Do two of those a day and you are set. and are home at 2PM. Cost for the marketing $0

Big thanks to odin for the help for laying it out for me.

Like I said I am no guru and I have not yet concerned myself with what others are doing

I bump up my price to .35 residential and have not had a problem yet execpt for the SM that out bid me for a commercial job

if someone ask about total cost for the job, I generally ask if they had thier carpets cleaned before and what was the price and it usually fits in the .35 sq ft price range and the quality of the work will be much better

dumped the per room price a few months ago, getting that price for commercial ain't gonna happen though, at least not around these parts

I had dinner & cleaned a friends carpet the other day and we studied carpet cleaning ads, this friend spends thousands of $$ a month on advertising in the Portland, Vancouver area and has 13 stores

some questions he would have

who are you competing against; chem dry, stanley steemer, other cleaners or all 3

if you are trying to compete with chem dry and take thier customers then I would at least have a carbonated cleaning process

if it is stanley steemer then he would have a $99 special

to me I wouldn't want to advertise on price but maybe a clean 3 rooms and get any room free

I could care less about the free spotter but would still give it away after cleaning, I would be more interested in winning something, dell laptop, top of the line vacuum, 2 nights @ the beach, etc, the $179 isn't enough to get me to call

even though it costs you nothing I still would care, what neighborhood or area of Vancouver is it going to, maybe be the North Shore specialist

he also wouldn't have a most through ever guarantee and then state that heavier soiled areas require an additional charge, it sounds confusing to the customer

how can I get in on this free deal

I think that most prospective cleans won't know what 700 sq. ft. means for them. IE clients have to think how many rooms is that equivalent to? Will you clean 50sq. ft in 14 rooms? How many sq. ft. is my room anyway? If you don't clean where the sofa is will you clean the hallway for free?

Square room may work for onsite estimates. But, I don't think it works well in direct mail where a client must make a split second decision before it hits the trash. Make it easy for the client to make that important decision.

Use the KISS principle. (keep, it, simple, stupid)

I agree with drop the van picture. Might want to use your own picture so, the client can know you don't look like a serial killer. (unless you look like Jimmy)

Instead of 'No gas fule charge (fuel charge! Gas is $2.60 a gallon!)might be a better use of space to put a bennefit such as "your fast drying"

Is that the guy that sells beds what’s he know about carpet cleaning…. :D I don’t think I’ve got all the answers my business is peculiar as far as carpet cleaning ... I think lot of good Professional cleaners undersell themselves

Half full or half empty…Buy two get one free is really over charge on the first two to cover the third the fear I have with this or sales/coupons is subconsciously aren’t you really saying I’m not worth what I charge…this is a question more than a statement!

I think if put that money into direct marketing it would be better spent

Interesting thought the only concern is that some people might perceive you as area specific don’t service other/their areas

I agree

Walking through the door your offering so much more than chem-dry or SS i think one emphasis over looked is educating consumers about quality ....air movers, pre scrub.... i did a "Ron Werner" spent quality time pre-vacuuming LR room carpet (sanataire dirt cup) that was the clients hot button "SS never prevac'd" why compete with someone that can’t match your workmanship & try to raise the client up to your service level

IMO..It’s a gimmick you’re a real cleaner not a snake oil salesman

You’re not doing 99.00 quality work…are you ?
I’ve toyed around with cutting corners doing cheap work and I don’t like it i'd rather part the truck ..wait ido park it
