Cushion back cutter blades

Just practicing with some new tools and I have a question about my cutter. It's a cushion back type and I'm wondering if it's supposed to use 2 blades at once. It's called a twin blade but if I use 2 blades it seems to get a lot of fiber between the blades.

Hey Doug,

use one blade at a time. Drop the blade down to cut on the side closest to the piece you're using.

They are very quick and simple to swap over but I tend to find I use one side 3-4 times as much as the other and need to replace that side far more often.
