Well this week sucked! Hurricane Michael demolished our Panama City office WITH 5 vans inside (4 of which were 2 years old). This is our second oldest office and we had plans to demo and rebuild the office in the the next 2-3 years but if sucks to be blind sided and not have a chance to get any assets out.

DUDE!!!

that's awful

hope no one got hurt (or gets hurt in that mess)
and SURE hope insurance covers replacement costs and rebuild

what's the immediate plan to get 5 vans in the field generating revenue again?
Rent til repaired/replaced?
(if that's even an option??)

what a tough break, Chester
get thru the short term hit, and hopefully insurance covers well

There really wasn’t a whole lot of Water work to be done... the wind Devastation was to a point where the structures will be demolished and rebuilt. It was like nothing I’ve ever seen and I’ve traveled to areas after storms. Completely destroyed everything in its path.
Is your Family in work and at home all safe?

There are several issues in the short term (2-3 years).

1. I don’t forseee a whole lot of work. The deveststation was pretty complete. I imagine half of the structures will be rebuilt. Another 25% will have serious repairs needed. Most people will have new flooring installed.

2. The amount of construction needed in the area will overwhelm all the local general contractors. It will be a nightmare trying to rebuild right now.

3. Because of the damage to most businesses any available rental properties that happen to not be damaged as well will be scooped up immediately.

Sooooo. The answer is. We’re not really sure right now what we’ll do. We will service some of the territory into our 2 other closest locations. 1 is North an hour and a half. The other is East an hour and a half. They will pick up some of the territory East of PC is Mexico beach, the area that hot completely flattened. So there won’t be much work there either.

Sorry that this happened to you. Devastating hurricane and people are in shock.
They went to bed with a Cat 2 and woke up the next morning with a Cat 4...and no time to leave. Cleaning is the last thing they are thinking about now.
I'm sure you will come out stronger when things do come back together but that will take some time. Best of luck... I'm in Cape Coral if I can do anything to help.

I am so sorry to see and hear this.

That is just crazy for the entire area.

I didn't know you had a division there.

Hope things can improve and come around quickly. I know it's going to be tough though

Yes.

Take care of your Family.

Man alive, that video is gut wrenching. What an absolute nightmare! It's hard to even imagine the recovery process in front of everyone hit by this storm. If we can help in any way let us know - we're just around the bend down in the St Pete area.
