Yes, I'm thinking about it.

Right now, I live 3 days a week in SNOHO.

And I'm in the process of building a business in Spokane where I spend 4 days a week. ( weekends )

Still working on details of what to do with excess SNOHO work.

A fellow board member here has taken care of a great deal of work for me when I'm absent.

But anyways, About Spokane.

I have a machine, in fact I'm rebuilding it right now.
#4 blower, 21hp, and I think I will do away with the heat exchangers in place of a little giant propane. Machine has a new pump and clutch.
My goal is to make it a hot silent ( well quiet ) machine. So far it is going real well.
I just picked up a commuter car, and will leave my pickup in Spokane. So pulling the trailer a couple times a week will not be a big deal.
Pulling a trailer is not a problem for me, heck I can parallel park my truck with a boat trailer. ( big one or small one )

This will only be for awhile, then I will mount the TM in a van and convert the trailer into a utility camping trailer. ( 4 wheeler camping gear etc. )

Dumb idea?

Just spring for the van?
Don't want to buy junk.
Can pick up a used U haul E250 chrome pack 5000-8000 miles for $12,500 - $15,000

Go for it. You can always sell it if it doesn't work for you. You have the truck. Insurance will be cheap and as you say you can always use a trailer for other things. I'm sort of thinking of getting one for a back up unit since I have a Ranger.

All the trailer backing up experience in the world still won't make it less of a pain in the ass to work with. I would go with a good presentable looking van and then get rid of the van in a couple of years for a better one.

Yeah, I'm really leaning toward the van for a lot of reasons, but the trailer seems like a good fit.

Spokane is nothing like the Seattle area.

No way in hell would I do a trailer in the Seattle area.

I agree, a trailer will be a PITA, I know most that have had trailers then back to vans would never go back.

OK.. I think I just talked myself into finding a decent van, slap a Maco or a 1/2 wrap.

Kinda like running a portable for years then stepping up to a TM... Night and Day many of the PITA gone.

what "commuter" car regularly pulls around a 3000 pound trailer....for very long with out problems?

you'll be beating the "commuter" car to death for no real advantage.....

I can put an 18ft trailer anywhere it will fit too.
but if I didn't have too, I sure wouldn't
d want to work

I see you already know the answer, Beck, and going to make the wiser choice

Larry Larry Larry,

You have stopped drinking right.

I know you shoot a lot, and that might effect hearing.

But your eyes?

ReRead my friend.

Communter car to get form snohomish to Spokane.
I just picked up a commuter car, and will leave my pickup in Spokane.

But yeah, I agree the kia won't pull a trailer so well.

My pickup pulls the 9000 pound boat just fine.
3000# trailer will be a breeze.

Non the less, I have 55k miles on my june of 07 f150.
Time to kill a kia.
