Located under the truck on the frame cross member.....above the diverter valve....

move it in side and save your self a ton of headaches.....

It is just a matter of tracing the 12 volt wire and re-route it to the inside of the truck and then re-ground...get a new vacuum line long enough to go from the new location back to the diverter valve....

any auto parts store...just find the strongest type you can..the braided type is the best...

being under the truck the breathing stone gets clogged and then the diveter gets stuck in the closed position

If you do not notice this you may be driving around and crack you E-3..... Being inside the truck removes it from all the outside elements .....On some of the newer models the solenoid valve was put in a box..not just bolted to the frame....this just slowed down the process....it did not fix it....

I call it the Vortex Slayer.

Who would have thought a .99 breather stone would be responsible for a blown E3! :shock:

Jim's post is very important, you wanna be able to SEE that stone, and just for kicks replace it annually.
