Just curious if any of you guys and gals up north, that don't have a heated garage or your van won't fit in your garage, use a remote starter for the cold nights?

I have remote start, but it would have to run for quite a while to get proper temps...

You would have to leave your heater on,which would allow a slower warm up...

I mainly use it just for convenience...

I used to have remote starters.

But they grew up, moved out, and got married.

Theresa won't do it..., but I start her car on cold mornings so she can get to work safely.

Windows become transparent after defrost and heater have a few minutes to do their thing....the rest is up to her.

it came with my security system a few weeks back, but being i have a GM vehicle, it would cost me $85-$100 more for some part in order for the R.S. to work. it would be nice but i'd rather have it for me car.

thanx --- Derek.
