Do you park in the driveway or on the street?

Driveway if at all possible. I worry someone will trip on hoses crossing sidewalk and sue me. I put down an orange safety cone. Don't know if it helps, but at least it shows I made an effort to warn someone walking by. I guess I could set up one of those PVC crossover systems, but who wants to screw around with that when it's ten degrees outside.

most houses I go to I would need 500 ft of hose just to get from the street to the house.

Every job gets a call ahead.

"Hello, I'm on my way I should be there with a half hour. Is it ok to park in the driveway so that I'm as close to the front door as possible?"

"Great! And remember to move your F'n car dumbass or I'll be forced to ram rod you." shiteatinggrin

Ok, I just think that second part.

I'd normally park in the driveway. That is after I asked permission.

Most expect you to park in the driveway and will have their cars moved before you get there.

If all possible I park in the garage.

Especially if it is below freezing.

Then I also close the garage door.

It keeps out the cold drafts and having to track in snow.

it really helps to keep me and my clients happier.

I suppose when the room starts turning green, the customers give you their money easier!

I've actuelly had alot of customers ask us if we wanted to park in the garage.. In some situation I will with the garage door up so I can no track in slush and snow everytime I go out to the truck.. I pull in just enough that I can get to the truckmount while the van exhaust stays outside. But other times I kindly tell them that in favor of safety I'll park outside.

Nothing wroug with parking in the garage and shutting the door.

If you have an electric truckmount.

Anyway working in below freezing and snow sucks.

So, I'm able to avoid it unlike most the other cleaner around here.

Ten below is the same as 70 degrees for me.

I park as close as possible without taking the chance of burning down the house. My first tm caught fire (Chemtex). Luckily I was out in the street. Total loss.
