Easy to make/collect payments amongst friends and customers.
No fees amonst friends, lower fees then other payment methods from customers.
Can convert to cypto- Currency.
Debit card available.
Avoiding fees is easy; just understand the policies.

Look it up on google. There are some risks to it. And to solve them holding your money could be futile. Be cautious...........dealing with indian or other middle eastern people is not good.

Just did a commercial job for an Indian owned company. Didn't haggle, and e-transfered me the full amount in completion of the job.

Venmo is a 3rd party just like PayPal, square, cash app. It's too easy. I'm suspicious

Like Jimmy said, there are some risks. There's the risk of the customer accidentally paying the wrong person and the only way they can get a refund is if the person is honest and agrees to a refund. There's also an app that allows people to print fake Venmo receipts showing they paid you. I lost $500 to Venmo then cancelled my account.
