Does OP cleaning leave residue if not encapping?

I usually padcap when using my OP's but got to wondering, if you use another prespray that doesnt dry to a polymer, wouldnt it cause resoil? I know there are presprays made just for bonnet cleaning that dont encap. How do these not cause a resoiling issue? I would think, unless using a procyon like product, this may be an issue. Just a random thought

no not necessarily. depends on the cleaning solution & the tech's IQ (if he foolishly over-applies).

Dereks right.

Heres an example, 2 to 4 oz of product when spread over a couple hundred square feet will leave minimum residue.

Even a emulsifier like formula 90 which claims its residue dries to a crystal when used at 1 oz per gallon can be an effective bonnet cleaner.

Its all in the marketing baby!

i forgot the politically correct answer:

everything leaves residue / traces of your cleaning sol on the fibers...unless your pre-spraying and cleaning with pure tap water...even then your leaving a chlorine / fluoride residue :p
