Any thoughts on what type and degree of wear would be appreciated.
Approx size 103" x 62" with a knot count of about 60 per inch.
The pile height is about 1/4" so would also appreciate any comments on what % of wear that would be compared with a typical new rug of the same type.

Many thanks for that Randy.
They still have the dog so our labours should be required with the replacement.

Yep. Sometimes they call them Kozaks. I've seen them artificially age these by placing them on the streets and sidewalks, or spraying with chlorine bleach and using solar acceleration. Very inexpensive to replace, but many of these were bought as souvenirs, and people want repairs for sentimental reasons.

I have one of these, and an almost exact Axminster copy, right down to a manufactured abrash. The machine made one is probably more durable.
