That they've ruined their chair and maybe I can fix it. No guaranty.

Its presumably part of a set? Getting 1 chair cleaned is like spot cleaning a lounge..

those that ask are "special customers"

I have had people pay me $120 for 1 chair. They are paying you to save the set. Not everyone can clean that successfully.

Welp. I would try the distilled water trick. Looks like a water ring. Then maybe hit it with a little peroxide and oxy-cotton stuff mix. Blot blot blot.

Doesn't Matter
The original spot looks like it is still there, she may have set it. There is an overall soiling on that chair if you can get the spot she will probably have you do the whole set.

Tell her you need to take it to your shop . It will be complicated, and may take quite an effort, and much experimentation to see what process has best outcome.
Bring it back a week or two later , good as new. and charge ????

So many variables. Often if you can "move" a spot it can be removed, but no promises.
