Does setting up a fan to speed dry the carpet interrupt the encapsulation process? Will the polymers dry in mid chomp?

Im doing a 24hr building and I want to speed dry the areas before people walk on it.

Encap on commercial carpet should dry in 20 to 30 minutes anyways. You need it faster then that? And no fans won't cause any effect on it.

We discussed this about 8-9 years ago when we were pushing 4 Cimexes on big commercial jobs.
Rick was -at that time- saying that it doesn't matter.

We grinded...uhhh Encap at two jobs this am . 8,000sqft at one, 2,000 at another. Gotta hide that soil. :winky:

It did look great. My first time using the Padson, the steps looked really good and the towels looked really soiled.

The answer pretty much depends on your answer to the following question: Do you believe in the tooth fairy?

See this? The brown lump is my pre-vac (after the owner had vacuumed). It is about the size of a gallon jug. The grey lump is my post-vac after encapping with DS2. It demonstrates that the remaining hair and soil is slick enough after encapping to release when vacuumed. In other words, the vacuuming is an important part of the process.
That carpet was cleaned before I had the CRB and I scrubbed it with a 175/red pad combo. Then I bonneted the surface. Guys, it came out beautifully. It doesn't magically "hide the soil" it makes it easy to vacuum up.

All those steps taken by VLM and the time involved when you can just turn your TM on and be done in half the time.
Save that VLM for commercial and leave it out of residential.

Yup, that is pretty much the point, haha!
As for too many steps and a truckmount is faster, that may sometimes be true. However, I cannot afford a dedicated van for a truckmount and often, my customers have had bad experiences with the Big Hose company. They seem to like the idea of the door being securely closed, too.
I guess it boils down to getting it done.

When my customer has brown lumps on the carpet, I usually go back to the truck and drive away.

24 hr building meaning immediate traffic .. not just right after but during as well .. with sloppy n dirty people who could give 2 shits if they drop something. So Ive considered blocking and drying out sections before traffic resumes.

We clean 24 hour areas with people walking all over the encap and even on the HOST. They track the HOST into other offices and crap all the time. It has never had an effect on how the results came out. On top of that, it is there office, they know they have their employees walking on the carpet that we are cleaning.
