I am not that familiar with all variety of duct cleaning vehicles available today. We run Butlers exclusively for carpet cleaning because they are very reliable, easy to work on and do a great job.

What are your opinions on a duct cleaning truck that would be similar in that respect.

Depends on your service area.
In metropolitan areas the HVAC set-up can vary widely. . Possibly causing the need for a portable unit.

If the HVAC is in the garage a TM unit would be very efficient.
The realty that I discovered is that if the owner replaces the furnace filter twice a year with a high quality filter the system is basically self cleaning.

In your area I believe the big player is the "Air Duct King".

One year I invested 10k in a TM quality Air Duct system. Then The City said I couldn't run the 8 inch hose over the sidewalk, a necessity for most homes in San Francisco :hopeless:

We have both on the truck. Gas fired and electric. Today the battery died on the gas fired and they started out with the electric until we ran them out a battery.

It comes in handy for apartments and long runs where we can't get the truck up close.

What happens when those cloth bags popping out of the top of the truck get wet .. like rain or snow .. are we talking muddy and I wonder how one avoids that.
