Anyone here have a maintenance contract with Dunkin Donuts - or a similar commercial account - for cleaning their tile and grout floors? If so, what is the typical frequency and cost? If you don't mind sharing. Also, what type of problems do you run into?
I am putting together a proposal for a franchisee who has 12 stores and want to get them on a regular maintenance schedule after the initial cleaning. I'm providing a price for the initial cleaning and quarterly maintenance cleanings and basing it on time and materials as a square foot price would be laughed at. No sealing because they are directed by the corporate office to use an acidic cleaner that is put on the floor 3-4 times daily. When they asked about sealing we went to look at their floor cleaning solution and I said it would be a waste of money. I could tell by the look on the person's face that someone else had sold them on sealing so I asked. Yep, they had Service Master do a one time cleaning and sealing.
Has anyone tried color sealing in just the customer area of this type of business? I'm going to give them a price but I think maintaining the floor would require too many changes in how things are done so it may be a non-starter. On the other hand, at about $5K per store it would be pretty nice.
Thanks
