I've have a lot crack over the years. I just figured it's the cost of doing business. I read the manual this time just for geers and the max water temp is 100. I always fill the solution bucket with 200 plus water. Then run the prime. Probably causing my own problem. They always crack at the bottom. Just using cold water now. Time will tell.

Gene;

The most common reason for cracking on the bottom is overtightening the bottom metal threaded fitting it has an o'ring and does not need to be that tight at all . . .

Is it stainless metal parts or brass . . .

The 2nd most common reason is chemical attack on the plastic by solvents . . .

Always the bottom one that cracks and I always put it in by hand. No wrench needed. I doubt it's from over tightening.

Screw that came with it and it barely reaches through the sheet metal. 200 degree water heating the metal fitting is causing it to expand cracking the plastic. That's it. Nothing else.
