Dyson vs Eureka

I tried helping my wife get through some house cleaning so I could clean the carpets. Grabbed her dyson and after 20 seconds went out and grabbed my eureka boss. I've used this same model for 20 years and haven't found a better vac anywhere. I know the Kirby kicks ass on power, and I have two in my shop, but I hate how heavy they are.

Do your Kirbys have the transmission feature?

Makes then feel lighter than anoy other vaccum.


But the Boss design is excellent assuming the belt is tight.

I love my Dyson ball vacuum. I wouldn't use it as a commercial vacuum though, but for my personal home it's the bomb. I probably need to invest in a good commercial vacuum. I do my jobs with a cheap bissel, but it gets the job done.

IMO, the ball version is the worst Dyson made.
