Can't get over the fact this customer still has shag. But I clean it every year.

used to see it pretty regular at one of our custy's rental properties
He built a dozen duplexes in the early '70s ...some had green shag, some had orange.
We started cleaning them in '90

the living rooms were pretty much all replaced by 2000, but still saw bed rooms with the stuff until he sold the properties a few years ago

Lots of that jute backed shag here in Sun City. A blue collar retirement community built from 1960-1969, the original carpets were wall to wall wool or shag. The old folks take care of their stuff and many of those 50 year old carpets are stiull in service today and still clean well. Gotta love that first generation nylon.

Take care,
Lisa

Exactly...that old nylon fabric is what they should be selling and none of these new smartstrandcornandwhoknowswhat crap!

I have done a lot of work in Oceanside at 50+ community that was also built in the late 60's early 70's. Many homes still got the original carpets and they look better and clean better than some of the 1-2-3 year old junks now.
