Now if you had everyone's face covered tell me how hard it would be to pick which one was in the carpet cleaning industry.

Anyone here remember quadraphonic sound?

I remember quadrophonic. For you young guys it was stereo times two. Instead of two channels, music was split into four channels. It required a quad receiver and four speakers. If you only had a 2 speaker stereo system, you'd still hear the sound in "stereo". But if you had a true quad system it added some additional dimension to the sound. The idea never gained a foothold and fizzled after a few years. I suppose it had something to do with the fact that we were created with two ears - not four.

There was a really good radio station in the 70's in the Tampa Bay area called Quad 102 1/2 (that's right "1/2" that was before radio station's used "point"). WQSR played great "album rock".

I did a search to see if I could find any information on that old station and I ran across this webpage. http://www.radioyears.com/other/details.cfm?id=989 Brings back good memories.

Is that Joe Polish who camped out all night to be the first in line?

Quadrophonic may have fizzled, but it spawned a pretty interesting album.
