I have a HM 4.7 CDS. I recently came across an old Blueline blower exhaust xchanger and am having some ports welded to it so that i can connect it to my 4.7 blower. What kind of temperature increase can I expect from this little box? I am a little skeptical that its going to do much more than lessen the fluctuation of my 190 max temps I'm getting now.

Most blower HX's raise the temp. about 30 to 40 degrees.

Since you have a cds the blower is probably not turning at 3200 or thereabouts. So i would guess about an extra 20 to 25 degrees give or take.

A blower hx is hardest way to gain heat....not very much of it and extra load on the blower. A bigger coolant hx or a more efficient engine exhaust hx would do better.

It also depends on the setup of the hx's in the route of the water thru your system.
