Just wondering how many folks have tried a bar of this stuff. I started using it again. I have to say, it has been working on darn near everything lately.

I've only tried it a few times but I'll keep using it. I don't expect spotters to work every time.

I use it on spots that the PS didn't work on. Give the spot a blast of warm water from your wand, run the bar on it, use your certified Vibram Agitator for a few seconds then rinse like a mad man.

Wait till Jim Pemberton gets a read of that! My first IICRC class was the carpet cleaning one back in Oct '99. Jim couldn't speak enough about the impression (HACK) you would leave with your clients if caught agitating prespray w/your foot! I've been scared to try it!

Fels Naptha is the best filtration soil remover hands down! Great for around treadmills and office chairs, also use it for transition areas from carpet to tile or wood. Also quick, cheap answer to mystery spots. It can definitely make you a hero and it is CHEAP! A case will last you forever. Just rinse very well. Made to be a laundry soap and doesnt rinse as easily as most spotters.

I wont do it when their looking.

We had a company in town that heavily promoted the fact that they agitate the whole house with their Magic Sneakers...

I have several bars at home. It is an excellent tool for the laundry arsenal.

In this thread I've seen the problems with using at a professional carpet cleaning tool.

1. It doesn't rinse very well. Sure, stain(filtration line) is gone, looks great, but it is nothing less than a lengthy and water intensive process to remove all the soil attractive residue. When used in laundry cleaning you have the benefit of an agitated soak and a long agitated soak rinse. The disadvantages of using a product containing a true soap with HWE is something I guess people just have to learn all over again.

2. When you look like an amateur, you are one.

I know Shawn, but just think of it:

Imagine if someone could cut the bars in the shape of a spotting spatula.

You would just use up the tool as you go along.

I always told Brevik he should have private labeled the stuff as "Viking Power Spotting Bars".

It would be the repositioning coup since the "shampoo method" became encapsulation.

I have used it on really trashed upholstery, pre-spray and agitate stubborn spots with the Fels Naptha bar.
Then extract. I've had good results. Be sure to pre-test though.

Shawn, we are paid to remove the filtration lines. If that takes extensive rinsing, so be it. Customers dont know what you are using, they only care that the stains are gone. If outcleaning the last 5 cleaners is unprofessional because I resorted to soap and high flow rinsing...so be it. Every other filtration soil remover I have tried (BP, CTI and many more) are inconsistent and mostly disappointing.

be sure ya'll rinse "well"
Got it?
Rinse thoroughly and you'll be fine

BTW, CTI Pro's Choice citrus spotters don't rinse worth a Tinker's damn either.
Rinse them thoroughly too
