If you insist on knowing fiber content beforehand just do the simple burn test that Jim Pemberton advocates. It will tell you if it has a natural fiber which is really all you need to know.

Or just clean like it is a natural fiber if in doubt.

How to deal with different textures is a whole different issue and in general has more to do with technique than with chemistry.

This could be a great marketing tool for the upholstery cleaning expert. Not likely that any other cleaning in your market has this tool. If working in a high end market, there could be a lot worse ways to spend $2000 on marketing. (Advertising on grocery tapes, menus at the diner, fence signs at the Little League field, etc.)
