Charles,

That is fantastic, absolutely a wonderful example to show and share. I am glad because I have a large urine stain to remove from a wool berber carpet that is about that size in just a week or so, I now have it clear in mind what to do with it, great example.

I am sure many will appreciate this repair.

Keep it up and you will have lots of property managers calling you.

Luis,

Both are acceptable but when one used the system Charles was, it all fuses together and makes a very bonded repair, this is not what will happen with latex. Just another way of doing this repair and a matter of preference.

Hope that answers your questions.

Take care,

after I sealed the seams with the glue, the donor piece actually sat a little high from the glue. when I used the Kool Glide on it, the donor piece sat down real nice and you could tell that it was in there good. I've only done a few repairs, and I used latex on the first couple. The glue gun is much easier and I was more confident with the quality of the repair.

Charles,

Great explanation and real life experience telling the story.
