I guess latent intruders could include mfg marking on foam cushions?

It could but I see it as discoloration from benzoyl peroxide, tracked dry bleach, etc. Ink markings on cushion foam, fabric, or stenciling on rugs are probably better considered separately.

In the 80's on a white couch I couldn't afford to buy, was my 1st encounter. Got out alive after a battle.

Now I unzip and inspect on every light colored piece.

Not as common now.

Edit: put plastic or sticky tab over them.
