Now with the Ipad out I'd be looking for a custom install, cheaper than buying a new Ford and you can take the Ipad out of the car.

it looks really cool, but I use my verizon droid to power my wireless internet when I am away from home. I am sure sprint wants you to buy their service, I wonder if you can tether another companies phone to it.

if verizon had it in a car they would want you to buy theirs to....

doesnt matter anymore, they all are coming out with netbooks, laptops etc. that already have their (cell providers) internal antennas..

now that 4g is finally here in utah, and i am in the coverage area, i am going to try clear for my internet....

I got to thinking why would the in dash setup be better than just having a laptop, you don't have a separate key board and mouse, its all together, plus you can take it where ever you want and use whatever wireless service you want including tethering a smart phone at no additional cost for internet.

Yes and you can do that to any car, computer, touch screen monitor, etc etc.

It's nothing new, Car PC's have been out for the longest, do a search on Youtube and you'll see thousands of videos.
