Not based on most life expectancy calculators.
No, I mean buying his customer list. A lot of owner/operators don't value their customer list highly. They think it will die with them. Half their customers might not even notice the change. If he has been in business for some time, his phone number is worth having. Gives a new guy in business a running start.

Well, I will be 70 in 2019. Might be time to quit slinging wand by then. I would want to sell more than the equipment though. Much of the value could be in the customer list, depending on whether that is a list of reliable customers or new customers just answering an advertisement.

I would say I’m semi-retired compared to the way I used to grind. I get up at 7:30 some and don’t go like my hair’s on fire. I even had to adjust to that. I forced myself to slow at 66. But daytime tv sucks, so can’t do that.

Still on the job at age 73. Had 2 huge stretch jobs last week, plus a ton of cleaning. I do have a good experienced helper.

Running dual wands every day makes the work go a lot faster.

I just love what I do, especially the exercise, and would miss my clientele if I quit.

Hey youngins work is GOOD better than the gym and you get paid for it. I feel very lucky at 76 feeling great everyday. Last week I cleaned 6 sofas and other chairs and that was outside in a garage with temp @ 95 and that's not atm. Was a commercial job and that's what they wanted. I used my new rotovac clear tool and really liked cleaning with it. Nice to see the results of the dirty water going in the tool. I worked alone and was sore the next day. Due to all the bending to clean the sofas. But was fine the next day No pain no gain. Body & income. I.m working as the calls come in. I did turn away a job the other day. Was a large townhouse with a 200 ft hose run to the back of the unit & had large urine spots from two large dogs.Said thank you and went on to a 1 floor home. Not sure when my health will change but will keep cleaning until then. My express van is a 04 and the people think it's a new one. My Cobby unit is 8 yrs old but no problems.I would like a new unit but why. I work and so does my equipment. I am thinking
about a new encap unit but want a vibe that I can lift into my express van. Had a orbot and sold it was hard to load into the van. Another great fun thing like carpet cleaning is playing the drums but I always say I'm a much better carpet cleaner than a drummer but their both FUN. jz.
