Who has modded their equipment with the free flow mod and is it worth the trouble?

"Free Flow" Is just a controlled air leak that is constant, rather than a spring type relief that only leaks air when a given amount of restriction is reached (IE wand latching down on the carpet)
I have done a "Free Flow" mod when my vac relief decided to lock closed, and set it to 16HG. I noticed no difference between the "Free Flow" and my vac relief.
