Chad;

We use 350 PSI thermoplastic rated up to 160°.

Most of our TM's have triple reels.

Good in most locations except for extreme cold weather.

For single wand you can go with half inch quality hose from a hose store. Well worth the money and much easier to work with and store. I think some guys were converting air hose with end adapters. Might freeze quicker in cold climates.

I use two 50' rolls of anit-freeze coolant line. I think it's 5'8 inch in diameter and rolls up perfectly on my hose reel. I think it's like $20 bucks for 50'.

We carry 60' sections of 3/8" air hose on portable cord reels. Garden hose fittings on the end with brass ball valve and brass quick couplers on each section. Light and easy to handle and a breeze to wrap up.

Cobb you got any pics

dude, I know Larry wants to sell you and everyone else some hose, (which i don't have a problem with)
but you don't have a hose reel.
thermal plastic ain't for you....trust me

you need a supple hose you can coil on the ground.
Rubber is the way to go

here's another tip; ALWAYS coil it the same way from the same end.
AND always drop a coil at a time as you walk to the spigot.

Your kink and coil probs will be few and far between if you do it that way.

I used to do it the same way you mention but it's a pita doing it that way. I had a fire man teach me the way to coil a hose and not kink or get tangled even if you throw it up and out in the air. Saved my a$$ a lot of time doing it that way. I don't have a hose reel and most of the time have to run a portable. Just hook up the QC and when you start to pull the hose, it uncoils itself without any loops.

It's a over and under technique that makes it work. It works with solution lines, hoses, cords but NO vac hoses.
