My fresh float valve doesn't work either. What's a good replacement?

They suck!

Too much sloshing around, side to side movement beats them up.

It may not need a whole new assembly. It could need a new float or maybe a new rubber tip.

Never had a problem really with the Butler shut off float system.

Many years of running too....
