Incredibly Effective Fringe & Face Yarn Cleaner
fringeplus-hanging.jpg
Fringe Plus is a highly effective and easy to use product designed to release soiling from the FRINGES and FACE YARNS of almost all types of fringes on oriental rugs. It safely and effectively cuts through the carbon bonds of organic dirt, grime, oil and grease molecules. The paste version is the consistency of a paste vs. the liquified version that is more like a lotion in consistency. Both paste and liquified versions work identically - it is just the user's preference.

As many rug washers have found since its introduction, even rugs that have been neglected for many years without proper care can be successfully cleaned with this product. It thoroughly cleans the flat woven salvage ends of rugs as well as the knots and fringes leaving textiles amazingly bright and clean. Fringe Plus contains no bleach of any kind and is completely safe to use on silks, wool, rayon and cotton.

A truly professional cleaning product for the rug care professional, Fringe Plus restores the dull and dirty fringes and face yarns to their natural color and beauty.

Fringe Plus targets embedded dirt, grime, oil and grease. Fringe Plus is easily applied with a brush and quickly rinses out without any residue.

Works great on greasy restaurant traffic paths from kitchen. Greasy armrests and headrests found on furniture. Even greasy mechanics hands.

What happened with the "Goop"?
It works very well during the cleaning phase. BUT, it has a tendency to brown the fringes out, even after good rinsing, and cuff drying of the fringes.
I’m looking for something that will help mitigate excess browning...

Browning on fringes is caused by leaving excess soil, moisture or chemical residue. I hand clean my fringes with a fine fabric product and scrub brush, rinse well and extract, extract, extract. Just when you think it's dry enough, extract some more. I rarely resort to fringe whiteners except if they came in already brown.

This product was initially designed and blended for cotton fringes and knots. It rinses very well, especially if one uses power washing techniques. The ph is fairly neutral. It obviously does not contain bleaching agents. It is a great cleaner to attack and suspend soil and grime for removal. Add water and make a shampoo with it, We have big in-plant rug operations that buy it in 55 gallon barrels because it works and is economical. It is a gel/paste. You can brush it on or make it into a liquid with water and spray it on depending what you are trying to accomplish. Many use it regularly on cottons, silks, wools and rayon of varying sorts. That is where the "Plus" came in for it's name.
