I have a stay at home mom with one quiet child answer my phone. Used Craig's list to find her. I pay her $100 per week minimum, 5 percent for each new customer she books, 10 percent of any upsells such as pet package or protector, and 5 bucks for each apartment renter that uses my basic clean package. Gives her some extra money so it works out well. When I hired her I spend time training her including going over the phone script and handling price objections, took her out on a job explaining everything I do. IMO this works much better than an answering service, and not that much more expensive really.
