..... The electric multi sprayers are great for synthetic fibres and carpets but you will need a small jet for natural fabrics.
Well buy one.
I've used 0.1 and worked fine for linen and cottons.
And you learn (or teach yourself like with any other tool) how to use the sprayer correctly. A little faster movement, a certain distance from the fiber, I removed the little wand so I have a lot more control. And yes, concentrate, it ain't click and forget.

How does the water based prochem 4 Gard for furniture rate? The MAXIM is $50 a gal and the 4 Gard is at $23 gal.

Two different animals Jimmy.

I sell both, so no competitive jealousy to be clear.

FG is for carpet, Maxim for Upholstery is for all water safe natural and synthetic fibers. I tested FG on upholstery and it was ok, but not nearly as good.

Jim, while we're at it.
On upholstery- Does it help if you gently (not on velvet and the likes) brush the protector in?
Or is it not really necessary?

  • And those of you that give a warranty (I don't), is it for the life of the piece or it needs to be applied once a year (and cleaned?) to maintain it?

Solvent based protectors penetrate and spread readily. Water based protectors don't, but as most fabrics are relatively thin, the material will wick through the weave fairly well. If your have a a heavy weave synthetic fiber fabric, some grooming helps.

Always great questions from you Ofer. I'm looking forward to having you in class in March.

The same here, Jim. And thank you for all the generous free education here, your excellent bulletins and willingness to help everybody with advise.

And I am looking forward to making tons of cleaning mistakes there, so I don't make them at my clients.
