and can you provide me with a tool and technique cheat sheet?

the wind and dust here on the high chaparral are making it mandatory that I learn how to quickly and effectively clean my own.

Window cleaner, (years back it used to be dish-washing detergent & metho;)

Water

Lambswool Tee piece for applying above

Squeegee to blade off

Microfiber cloth to tidy up.

If you're not getting paid to do it, you're gonna hate it. Heck! even if you are getting paid, you still might hate it. Anyway, get some Unger squeegees, and get that little bucket that hooks on to your belt so you can hold the applicator. It keeps you from having to carry around a bucket the whole time

there is no way you could possibly be such an asshole in real life.

come to MFStP and lets see what you got.

Danny needs a roomie.
Don't underestimate him. I think he could.

I like to think everyone has the opportunity to reach their potential if they work hard enough at it and...well...pigshit works hard at it. :winky:

I'd actually be very disappointed if he's a nice guy in reality.

What type of Windows?

Double hung we use zep on the glass with micro fiber rags. Don't use fabric softener to wash them.

Use a stiff paint brush to clean the sills and frame then Clorox spray and another rag if the frame is white.

Any windows you can't reach pressure wash with a concentrated window cleaner and let dry.

Steve has it. Zep concentrate (Home Depot), a sparayer and a squeegee. Expect the exterior to bleed paint and dirt.
1. Webster the casement.
2. Spray the windows. (I often use a hose end sprayer with bleach and car wash detergent to do a gross decontamination).
3. Light spray with Zep and squeegee, 2X.

Interior
1. Vacuum all mullions and the sills. Use a stiff brush to break up the sill deposits, a spotter to flush them if need be.
2. On wooden window frames, spritz with diluted bleach and car wash. Use a soft brush to scrub it in, your spotter to recover slops. This will restore them to bright paint. Do all at once and get the suffering over with.
3. Go back with Zep. Use a small squeegee for those damty small panes.
4. When dry, polish any dripsicles.
5. For tip-in vinyl, modify the above to suit yourself.

Accept that no matter how you try, the upper window edges will run a little. Dry wipe them later if you must. Thermopanes grow a white fungus between the glass. You cannot get to it.
Be ready to discover a zillion blems in your work, they reveal themselves as you go.
Hard water deposits call for Mr. Makita and Barkeeper's Friend. Use distilled water to rinse or you'll simply redeposit the dots.

Relax with a cup of coffee and enjoy your wife's admiring comments.
