German allergy study on carpet vs hard flooring

i was prepping for a business presentation when i came across this article on the air filtration benefits of carpet.

i guess that puts the whole " hard floors are better than carpet for allergy sufferers " debate.

Sweden was one of the first countries who tried switching from carpet to hard surfaces....

Now, they are seeing the adverse effects of that move.

Larry is right in what he says.

All government buildings in Sweden replaced the carpet with hard floors.

Since then, the increase in Asthma and Allergies has increased quicker than when they had carpet installed.

I believe that they are now carpeting all buildings once more due to this.

It comes in cycles. 20 years ago, my local school system was installing new carpets in all their new buildings. That lasted until about 5 years ago. Now they are slowly installing VCT in them. In ten or fifteen years I'll see the opposite happening.

Every new administration thinks it has a new idea.
