Other than him appearing not to care about anything but men's looks, I know nothing about this MB regular so I thought I'd ask..

-How long in the trade and how did you get started?

-Owner Op or multi trucker?

-How are you faring the current shit storm?

-You've been on the Boards forever, how do they help your biz?

-Name five BBr's you'd want (forced to for discussion purposes) to spend a month on a desert island with..

-What do you really care about?

-Describe how you clean a normally soiled carpet and a complete rats nest dung heap.

-Whats is your best source for new clients?

- Mikefest?

the only thing I know about Vinnie is that he has or had a Butler unit

I heard when he went to Butler Corp for service that he emptied out the hard candy dish on the reception counter and used to steal the extra rolls of TP in the Men's Room

Didn't know he'd switched from Bane to Butler Fred.

Longtime Bane operators tend to get grumpy from explaining "that unremovable traffic pattern".

Lee,

No kidding, the eye opener for me was the first week I got my first Butler unit in Feb. 2002. Bane had me convinced that all 'unremovable traffic patterns' had the identical appearance of actual soil

I might have Vinnie mixed up with someone else, I thought he said he had one

First of all let me say I can't beleive you want to know about me. But I'll give it a shot.

1. I started in 1976 working for a janitorial Co. went on my own in 1978. Sold that in 1998 be doing only CC, furn., floors ever since.

2. Owner Op.

3.Work is slow.

4.Back when the boards came out ( Cleanfax, ICS.} they helped alot now not so much but I do pick up something now and then.

5.If I had to be stuck with 5 members I'd say Les Jones, Steve Tourburn, JiMmy. MaRtY, TeRrY.

6.I care deeply about my Wife and kids and family members.

7.Normal carpet- Vacumm, prespray, agitate, dwell,HWE,groom.

8.Rats nest- everything the same but I would use RV 360 instead of wand.

9.Refferals.

10.Mikefest- I don't understand.

PS:I don't and never had a Butler, I did have a Bane years ago but now I run a Savage Beast.

I hope I didn't miss anything I'm not use to doing this much typing my index finger is starting to cramp.

The one thing I would tell the new guys would be, find out what it really cost you to do buss.I mean everything labor. equipment, supplys, break downs, postage,I mean everything then add 15 to 20 % profit on every job. This way after 10 20 years you have something to sell. Just don't take a job at a lower price to be stay busy.
