What’s the rule of thumb on the life of a glide.
I.E. How flat do let your glide get before you chunk it?
Just for clarity. I don’t use my carpet wand as a tile tool. 😁

Until it got sharp edges we couldn't file it down. Used it to the end.

What are talking here. Hand file, bench top, safety scissors, pretend razor.
I’m buying a new one if I feel the need to file it.

We put them in a vise and use a file to sharpen down edges. We get another 6-8 months and then switch out to new.

i like the lip glides. Just toss them every few months when they start losing tension and slipping into wand vacuum slot

Hey Mike, those SA machines I purchased in 2000 have over 50,000 hours now and still running everyday. 2 wands 12 flow each dual wanding and temps stay in the 230/240 range with 120 gallons water recovered every 45 min to an hour. Beast of machines (pimped by me) by any standards for HE machines.

That's right. delivering the best cleaning customers could ever find with the service to back it up. 30yrs in this business and still running at the top leading the way. Doing the jobs others can't. Fixing the shit jobs done by others. Developing future techniques that deliver a better clean. Still in the trenches and love everyday of it.
