OH Grennie;

I saw a glide, which was a slotted glide that had a machined grove (channel) that went from end to end.

Does it do any good?

Are there recessed bridges (supports)? Are they thick enough that they are not likely to crack? Are there enough of them to assure stability? If so, yes, it will do you good.

Take care,
Lisa

I've got an old Kenny glide that is slotted and grooved, and it has a set screw in the middle to keep it from collapsing. I'm not sure how it compares to other glides on this particular wand. And it's not teflon....

To add to Truckmount Girl's comments, You could be describing a regular "slotted" teflon glide, as all regualr slotted glides have a "channel" across the face that allows edge cleaning.
What wand was it on is the question I have for you?

As for does it do any good, all glides make wanding easier, some pick up more debris, some less, some extract more efficiently than others, some lift the pile, some don't need to like on berbers.

it will be slightly harder to push than a hybrid, the drying will not be quite as good, but on the plus side it will pick up more debris and hair and give a little more traditional wand lip agitation than the hybrid.

Take care,
Lisa
