while watching a video elsewhere...some dork made a remark concerning glueing hoses to cuffs using Gorilla glue and i've heard other remedys as well.....
NOOOO.i've been meaning to mention this for those who don't know.......go buy a tube of 3M weatherstrip adhesive (black is better) Don't get the yellow crap!
use sparingly...you'll thank me someday!

What happens if your hose breaks and you have to cut it and reattach cuff? That cuff is garbage.

not so..simply cut the hose 1/2 inch from the cuff....grab some pliers...grab the hose and it will spiral right out...you only glue the very bottom of the cuff....don't even put glue on the hose......comes right out

Gorilla glue is some good stuff, but expands way too much during curing for some applications.

I would use a more pliable sealant/adhesive like Bawb suggested instead of rock hard GG that would trash the cuff threads.

GG works just fine. Everybody has a bottle of it at there house. No need to go buy sealant. Cut hose and use plier trick to unspiral hose. Clean out dried bits of gg and apply a few drops of gg and insert new hose. And I saved you ten bucks.

Bob your saying just run a bead where cuff meets hose after its screwed on?

Or put some on hose then screw in?

My tub caulk a few months ago is failing all ready

ADHESIVE....not sealant.....it's a rubber based rubber weatherstiping adhesive!
and and i suppose a little up the spiral wouldn't hurt any...if you applied it to the hose that would mean that it is all the way up the cuff and would be a beOUCH to take off.

i used some Gorilla Glue to put a small piece of wood moulding on the coffee table today!
