Has anyone heard or do any distributors know about Goodyear hose being bought by Continental? I recently bought some hose that was suppose to be goodyear but it says continental on it and I swear it's a little different. The distributor says it's exactly the same but seems a little rougher or more rubbery which means it rubs on things more and tangles easier.

The Goodyear name was licensed by Vayance which is now part of Continental. AFAIK Goodyear never actually produced the hose. Hose should be the same assuming its the same model but I can also see where different compounds may be used over time on the same model as long as the specs are maintained. Also may be the new factor.

Yes Goodyear Neptune is now labeled continental and is the same hose. Continental is Something like a division of Goodyear and it is exactly the same as Neptune hose made the same way. That is what I was told. Been that way for about 11 or so months now.

The one thing I was told about parker is if your running a flame thrower it has a 230 max not 250 like goodyear.

So Nate be careful! Dont melt your hose.

Who sells it??

Olson, Cobb, Interlink.

I have 3X100' CHEM-WHO KMA Parflex hoses I got from Greenie years ago. Can't see anything wrong with them, but I wasn't comfortable with taking old hose into customers' houses, so I recently got a new 100' from Olson. But it isn't CHEM-WHO KMA.
