To improve your adwords position is it more important to increase your CPC or daily budget? or both. My CTR is around 1.45%, so I think i'm good there.

What's important is to make sure you have the right keywords relevant to your service.
Don't just use everything that Google throws at you.
If you can track the traffic to your site and see what search engine it's coming from AND what they are typing in...you can lower your adwords cost.
I'm surprised to see what people are typing in.
