I have it.
I use the phone number as my "give out" number. with less worry.

I think it has value at the personal level, but some potential drawbacks for a business. "Free" is great, but there is no guarantee it will always be free. Google is in business to make money, and if you become dependent on anything that is free it could be a problem later when the purveyor(Google) decides its time to cash in on those dependencies.

I've been using Google Voice for about a year.
I've had problems with people callng and getting an out of service recording :shock:
Not good for business
That whole "you get what you pay for" comes to mind.
