over my 25 year career cleaning carpets, i have tried all kinds of vacuums looking for the perfect balance, proteam, kirby, windsor 1but not 2 ich, hoover insight, just to name a few, good vacs but clog way too easy ( not kirby... dont forget oreck, good vac but width too small and not heavy duty enough ,

so i went back to the vac of vac, to the king of commercials vacs, hoover conquest bagged version,, there is nothing like it,, its a beast

That was my all time favorite also, with the power drive system. Consumer's Report magazine listed it as the top vacuum way back when. I still keep a lookout for one hiding in granny's estate sell outs.

I've owned a myriad of different vacs over the years.
some were better than others
But can't recall them clogging unless not emptied soon enough on a dog house, or new carpet with mega staple yarns and/or used as shopvac to pick up toothpicks, incense sticks or paper clips that get stuck in the hose to collect fur

Hoover conquest is my favorite too. I only use it to vacuum commercial before I bonnet clean. I have the dust cup version. Have replaced the motor and brushroll. Getting wore out now but I am only working till I'm 70 so it will last.
