Well we will see how good they are.

Gotten sick of the high price slow local printing.

Got 1000 cards coming to test the service.

If all goes well, I will be using them a lot.

Great website!

So far Gotprint.net is scoring a A++.

I made the standard order 3/18/08 at 4:30pm.

The cards have already been shipped.

I bet I have them Monday.

The proof is what I uploaded to their site.

They say it prints the same.

What I meant is that after you send your mail piece they usually send you the proof to get your approval. Gives you time to change something.

Brian, I believe they accept a bunch of file types (did I say that already?). I send mine .psd but there are bunch of other formats as well.

For everyone's info: gotprint will not advise you if you're mail piece meets postal guidelines so it is good to know. I had a card that had the phone number on the bottom right of the front of the card. I got about 1/4 of them back (undelivarable). Why, because the reader at the post office read the phone number thinking it was an address. The reader doesn't know what the front and back of the card is. Some may know this but just thought I'd throw it in.

Also, they have a template for all card formats. Good idea to use.

I think proofs may be an option with gotprint.com. I think it does cost a bit more, but it may be worth it in some situations.

I just ordered cards from a guy in my BNI group. Not happy. Too thin. Should have done gotprint.

The real bummer is that I can't bitch about the cards. The two people involved with the order are paying customers. I won't rock that boat.

I hate to be a downer but I just got my cards from them and I can hardly read them. Black print on dark blue card doesn't show up very well. The blue didn't look that dark on the puter.

I just placed a starter order. Man they are affordable. I can gear a marketing campaign towards the mailing lists of my partnered companies and look like a champ. I am doing
1000 for myself and cherubs daycare with a discount for anyone who uses cherubs
1000 for The Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield 10% donated back to the B&G club
1000 for Yo Teng Do Karate studios 10% off for being a member
100 for Pregame sports
2500 for my BNI friends to hand out with their info on there as well all for under $300.00

I have not used a mail order or an internet site for printing. They may be cheaper in price, but I like to buy from my local printer. I think that you can get a lot more business leads from your local printer than an internet site. And it looks like from the replies, some people are happy with internet printers, some are not, some like their local printer, and some do not. But I think if the price is close I would tend to go with the local print shop.

Gary, that's what I did too. Now I have a box of 1,000 cards that I can throw in the landfill. Like I said, I won't bitch about it (to them), because they're customers and good referral sources.

Now, it's time to make an order with gotprint.com

Yeah, the work leads I lost by not using a local printer, cuz I'm his only CCing client.

Gotprint.net
twice the quality at better than 1/2 the price with 1/2 the turn around time.

And the same number of sales leads as the local guy. 0

However I see Dirks point, I'd feel obligated to order from a guy in my referral group.

Dirk, if the guy ever asks for a card don't make the mistake by giving him the Gotprint ones.

I knew you had a pair Dirk.

If you left a lot of spots on his carpet, or if it took 3 days to day I'm sure he would let you know.

BTW, how many did you buy and how much?

What was his reaction?

Let me guess, he does like many printers. They send out their card printing.

I have a local printer about three miles from me who I e-mail the file and go pick them up.

I get a lot of referrals from him because he gets around.
Ladies in the office and their friends.

Win win situation.

He's a salesman for a local printer. They actually print on site. He was fine with the comment and offered to print again. I told him to not worry about it. My guess is that I have a different idea of what quality is.

I bought 1,000 for $85. Could have got 5,000 for less than that with gotprint, I know.

Gotta keep the peace man.
