Grabbed an elf to no avail

Yesterday I glommed onto one of my elves who was off work. We went over to the house as scheduled, only to find that there has been no power since August 7. Nuts.

The owner (who lives out of state) sounded distressed; hopefully he can get the power turned back on soon. Trouble is, now I am booked out a couple of weeks and the opportunity to do this one has slipped past. Meanwhile Mrs. Coastie decided I would love to pull up the old TV cable, all 200 deeply-buried feet of it. Wummun works me like a rented mule.

On the bright side, payment just arrived for last Friday's work. That is nice.

Three jobs today and two more starting at 7. Worked in the yard all weekend building a fence getting the boat back together planted a bunch of stuff and pulled stumps from the stuff I cut down.

I don't start till 10 most days though and I don't set an alarm


No sympathy from me.

Turns out that the power company updated the street address, but not the city! He has it corrected and hopefully power goes on tomorrow. Dunno how I squeeze him in, but I'll figure it out.
