From the top of a 3 story building about 40 feet up 4 feet by about 30 long but there are splatter marks down that span. How much to charge? This is a historic building so there are alot of hoops to jump through. By the way its a brick building.

black paint on red brick building looks like it was put on with a roller. 40 feet up. i plan on renting a lift and using a soy stripper and the minni spinner 1200 psi should blast this off real easy. No one wants this job not even the city grafiti removal team.

are you sure you do?

I don't know anything about soy strippers and don't know anything about the red brick either.

have you consulted with any experts on the type brick it is and the effects the stripper and spinner will have on it?

you mentioned it was a historical building

has have to tested a small area to see if your plan will be effective?

old brick 60 years plus soft paint and i think 5-7000 could get it off in one afternoon. but i think the rest of the surface would need to be cleaned to match. But that would be a whole nother story. Im putting a bid on this this afternoon. i will take pictures.

looks right fine indeed, Ronald
good job

sell 'em on washing the whole side, cause I'm sure you're right, the area you fix will be be noticeable
not unlike trying the spot clean a carpet that hasn't been cleaned in years

I would bid time and material.

Tell them this being so unique you'd have no way to bid acurately so you'll need to go time and material and maybe put a cap of some amount to make them take it.

You did a nice job removing it, a soda blaster would also work well on it, clean it up and make it look new again without damage to it historical integrity.

No way could I get up there and concentrate on the work, especially while putting my almighty death grip on the lift!!

Scissor lift with cage around it, you're be good. Just bring it down lower before you move to the next spot.

What's to worry if you fell, you wouldn't even feel the pain.
